Check this out :

http://www.sr20-forum.com/brakes-suspension/56844-b14-1-6l-swaybar-upgrade.html

This thread has picture comparisons and states B14 1.6L - 25mm hollow, stock B14 Sentra 1.6L front swaybar was 6.5 lbs.

What's even better - the install was flawless. I took Ivan's advice and used hardened 10.9 grade bolts for the brake lines. No clue why they opted to use grade 4.x for those bolts where they could have spent the extra 10 cents and gotten at least grade 8 bolts. I have a VRS 3" SS exhaust and the exhaust was WELL away from the sway bar. Now, I did have this installed at an exhaust shop and welded so it's possible they customized the layout, but I'd guess not by much(had this done 3+ years ago).

Anyways, here's a pic of my clearance on a b14 w/VRS 3" SS(before lowering/tightening):

As you can see there's a good amount of clearance.

Anyways, definitely worth the price and since it's pretty much the only available bar out there for the b14 it is the BEST

That's good news. My exhaust is way closer than that. I guess it depends on who bends it.

PS. I assume you hadn't torqued down the nuts yet, as shown in the picture?

@gomba,
Thats nice, I still have to take my car to the exhaust shop to get the clearance fixed.
Yesterday i was able to drive a little faster and the car feels so much stable, a lot more oversteer but still not enough to get the car to be neutral, im going to try removing the front swaybar, but i think that could be overkill so probably on the near future i will get the front adjustable swaybar.

And also i found some nice corners near my house and im going around and around until getting sick... hahaha

With this swaybar, cornering have gotten a lot more fun!

Indeed I torqued them down at ride height as recommended.

After driving on the sway bay for a few days I have some questions:

- I'm getting a lot of squeaking coming from the sway bar. Is this normal? Is there a reason? Can I get rid of it?

- Does it matter where you place the U-bolt hangers for the bushings that go over the beam?

- Have you guys had issues with ground clearance? I think this is the lowest hanging piece on the car. Even lower than the exhaust and cross member.

Thanks!

I assume that you put grease between the bar and the bushings that hold the bar in the D-shaped brackets.

They sit the arms of the bar at a more comparable angle to the trailing arms of the beam.

The D bushes need to be greased on the bar.

The Uclamps should be as close to the bends of the bar as possible but level both sides.

I'm yet to scrape mine, things like the exhaust will move with the chassis but the bar can't physically move lower to the ground during travel.

I did grease the bushings pretty good, but they're still squeaking. Could this be from over-tightening? The instructions had no torque specs so I tightened everything down pretty tight. I was also thinking maybe they just need some time to 'break-in'.

If I understand you right about the U-clamps you're saying they should be as far to the outsides of the vehicle as possible. That being the case, that's not how I have mine so I'll have to readjust these. I can also re-grease them during this. I didn't know if it mattered where those were placed.

Thanks for the advice!

Re: Whiteline bar installed today
If the washers arent in the correct places on the S links then they can squeek
