Thread: Whiteline bar installed today

The 25mm bar is on. The car rides slightly better than before. In terms of handling, it really didn't make a noticable difference compared to the solid 28mm bar...which surprises me. Next up is to check the tow in the rear. Maybe I'll get ambitious and try and bend it myself.

Our top model GTi came with a 28mm front bar the lesser models come with a 26mm solid bar.

My VZR N1 only has a 26mm front arb

Hello Guys, i installed my whiteline rear adjustable sway bar yesterday and i wanted to share my thoughts about it. I posted this here so all the information is on the same place.

For the instalation it is really easy, and if you have help it is much easier. The kit have everything you need. I did had some clearence issues with the exhaust as im running a 3" exhaust, but its minimal, and i still have to take the car to a muffler shop to move it a little, nothing dificult.

I had an issue with the bolts that goes to the brake line bracket, the bolts are really "Soft" and are really easy to break... one got broken inside so we had to take it out to continue the instalation. i would change them to to better quality bolts.






Riding the car:
I feels much more tight in the back, the car handles better and have a little more oversteer, i have not been able to push it, but at normal driving you can feel the diference!

I will provide more feedback as soon as i can push it a little more.

This is good to hear that you go this installed with minimal issues. My Whiteline came in yesterday and I'm hoping to do the install within a week. I have a 3" VRS exhaust so I'll have to update on how it fits.

What stiffness setting do you currently have the sway bar at?

take out the stock links and replace them with some of these.



Mazda 626 or Ford Probe rear stabiliser links, they sit the bar at a better level compared to the stock ones, and have no side to side movement.

What's the benefit of that?

I believe those are the same type that come with the Whiteline kit, as shown in the pic from post #1 (also included below)

yeah, i think he mean to replace the yellow ones to the black ones...

How are these going to prevent side to side movement when the bar floats side to side on the axle mounts?

I don't think hard mounts are a good idea without first beefing up the chassis mount they attach to. JMO.

Just installed this tonight! Wow, what an improvement! I was going around a round-a-bout so quick I was getting sick lol

What's even better - the install was flawless. I took Ivan's advice and used hardened 10.9 grade bolts for the brake lines. No clue why they opted to use grade 4.x for those bolts where they could have spent the extra 10 cents and gotten at least grade 8 bolts. I have a VRS 3" SS exhaust and the exhaust was WELL away from the sway bar. Now, I did have this installed at an exhaust shop and welded so it's possible they customized the layout, but I'd guess not by much(had this done 3+ years ago).

Anyways, here's a pic of my clearance on a b14 w/VRS 3" SS(before lowering/tightening):



:EDIT: This is installed wrong! The yellow bushings go on the other side! I was still able to fit it no problem w/the exhaust though.

As you can see there's a good amount of clearance.

Anyways, definitely worth the price and since it's pretty much the only available bar out there for the b14 it is the BEST
