The problem that I noticed with adjusting the beam shift by changing the center link (IE using QT link), is exactly what you saw. The stupid squishy bushing looses it's necessary movement space, though in my toy models of the SRL, the movement to the passenger side is more important then movement to the driver side.

Simply put QT link is not the most optimal way to realign your beam.

If you put a poly/solid bushing instead of this squishy bushing you will cause beam bind. The bushing is there because the SRL link needs that movement space otherwise your rear end will hit infinite spring rates while turning as it binds against a more solid surface.

Yep.

My favorite video to get the point across why changing the squish bush is a bad idea:

The bushing is basically acting as the slide part of the apparatus in the video. The range of motion is highly exaggerated but imagine the bind if it didn't slide! Can you say bent metal?

This thread has picture comparisons and states B14 1.6L - 25mm hollow, stock B14 Sentra 1.6L front swaybar was 6.5 lbs.

Anybody tested this if it helps to reduce understeer on b13?

@BenFenner did.

Also, the link in my signature has many different measurements for different chassis. Heck, using a B14 SE-R bar is an upgrade vs using the B13 SE-R bar.

It is different in Europe as our N14/B13 has same front sway bars in all models. But local friend has B14 with GA16 imported while ago from USA with dead engine and thats why i have this idea. I need

5461169Y11 - Weight: 6.66 kg / 14.702 lb

EU B13 100NX GA16DE and SR20DE
EU N14 Sunny GA14, GA16, CD20, SR20
US B13 SE-R SR20
US B14 SE SR20

5461158Y11 - 3.57 kg / 7.881 lb

EU N15 SR20
EU N14 GA14, GA16, CD20
US B13 SR20

5461152Y20 - Weight: 2.96 kg / 6.534 lb

EU N15 GA14, GA16

Im confused... maybe we can judge just from weight and consider lightest as best? If anybody want to do own research - http://nissan4u.com/

PS: Ive scraped N15 SR20 sway bar last week.. damn. And N15 GA14 (6.5lbs - lightest) last year...

The 1.6L bar we have over here is 25mm and hollow (lighter) vs. the 28mm bar which is solid and heavier. I'd be surprised if Nissan has different bars for the EDM market.

I've had both front bars on my B14 in addition to no front bar in conjunction with the Whiteline rear bar. You get the best rotation with no bar but it suffers a little with regard to steering response. You get so so rotation with the 25mm bar, but better turn in response and a flatter car during cornering. For the track, disconnect the bar. For the street, where feel out weighs full rotation at the limit, reconnect the bar. If you plan on running front springs stiffer than 300lbs, I'd forgo a front bar altogther.

TO add to Hank's response, if you have worn out dampers, disconnecting the bar sucks for straight line accel and braking.

The N15 GA14/GA16 looks like its the same with 25mm hollow B14 sway bar. Id give it a shot. And probably also try disconnecting the bar to test it how it feels. Car has XYZ coilovers (i think springs are 8/6kg). Im probably going to put stock bushing instead of ES.

Car is going to be kind of universal car - circuit, hillclimb and rally.

Pretty easy install. Had to widen out the holes a bit on the beam D clamps (yes, B14), but other than that it fits like a glove. I did notice the endlink on the passenger side is pretty close to the exhaust. Those with bigger than stock exhausts may have fitment issues.

Road tested it but didn't get a chance flog it in the turns. Maybe tomorrow. There was no noticable decrease in ride quality. I'll keep you guys posted, as far as handling improvments.

Re: Whiteline bar installed today
My Vzr N1 came with a 26mm front arb, others have come with 28mm....
