The whole tie rod is serviceable, you can pull that whole thing apart. You might be able to flip everything upside down. I get what your saying tho.

from the pic it looks like the tie rod end sits higher from the knuckle than the stock unit. is this true? if so, what would be the advantage of these over the oem's?

The main advantage of a heim joint is the angles they can acheive over ball joints. Other than that, it's often said that they're structurally weaker, and more prone to failure.

Personally, I'd prefer a heim joint over a ball joint regardless what folks say. I see WAY more ball joints fail than heim joints.

Search "Bump Steer" and read up.

You might want to do some research before modifying your suspension any more. From what i can see in the pictures it seems the tie rod is now higher than the stock multiplying the bump steer from lowering the car. Even if you flipped it i think it would hang down too low.

Actually, i took this picture when the Jack was underneath the LCA, which made it possible for me to bolt on my Coilovers.. Thats why it it might look like Bump-steer nightmare.

i now, somewhat, understand what bump steer is.
