Compare the 225 Hankooks in the rear with the 205 Azenis RT-615 on the front of my vehicle in the picture in that very same post. Apples-to-apples, in person, with my own eyes, the Hankooks are wider than the Falkens, with less stretch (slight on the Falkens at 205, none on the Hankooks at 225), but no bubble.

Maybe the sticker on my wheels lied to me? Maybe I really have 7.5 wide wheels"?
The world may never know.

In the front, correct?
205/50/15?
Or 205/55/15?
Maybe 205/60/15? (Not confident that tire even has this size...)

As expected, a good bit of stretch on an 8" wheel.

Let me rephrase.

He is trying to race this thing, and I assume perform well on the track.

205/50/15 azenis, the old ones. most people say they compare to about a 225. anyways back to s13s. 18X11 all four corners. do it. .

It would seem the RT-615 got a completely redesigned and stiffer sidewall than the old-school Azenis. Since that is bubble, not reverse stretch (whatever you call it).

Put this together so that I could figure out if my selection would work and to keep myself straight with some of the basic tire info. The first row is the RS3's, the second is the OPTIONAL size for the s13, and the bottom row is the stock s13 tire. For me losing 1.24 inches in total diameter on the new setup that will cost under $500 and provide better performance in every aspect of my driving is an acceptable loss.

And for the record the 225/45 15 RS3's work great on a 15x7 as I have personally seen them mounted and lapping the track.

Please feel free to correct me if I have some glaring error.

Thanks for the input!

You'll get more tread on the ground if you put that 225 on an 8" wheel.

No argument from me. However, like I already said, I have the 15x7's and they were next to free.

What Chriscar said.I have 225 RS 3's on an 8" wheel, and they are all kinds of square and happy. But, I understand, use what you've got.Check out Tire Rack's TR motorsports wheels. They're cheap, light, and don't look too bad.Depending on what you pick,$85-$110 per wheel.Might be worth a look.** EDIT!!! Nevermind,I was thinking b13 or b14 not s13 or s14.My bad.
