That doesn't look like any SR20 axle I've ever seen.

eff all you guys. I rode on nothin but shock... no coil springs.... for 5 yrs.. no issues.. stick that in your pipe and shove it up your.... JK.....

^^ that's cuz I HAVE shocks, and LEAF springs.. on my truck

you're trying to put LSD axles in a non-LSD trans. I've done it. bad results. Ride height isn't the issue. or you have a 4spd GA16 trans putting 5spd axles in or Vice versa...

there's quite a few axles out there that will slide into our transes, someone prolly got the one you got previously, then put it in the wrong box and returned it, not needing it.

Or the one on the other side is too long.. If its non LSD, I believe it is possible to have the axle go through more than halfway through the diff and hit the other axle, causing it to not go in all the way. take out the other side and see if you can see an issue..

Someone say I'm dumb, cuz I am. I like typing nonsense. I've seen some strange things in my day.... maybe I can help someone someday..

Shawn B, you know what they say, "you are what you eat" So you are a DICK!!!! AHAHAHAHA JK!!!! dont kill me!! I'm scared now.

Axle doesn't budge any more and it's clicked in. I've tried. My instructor has to, as well as my cousin that's built cars from the ground up many of times. And they both said "possibley the springs, but doubt it. Pretty sure it's wrong axle" new one should be here in a day or 2 with new axle seals for both sides

More than likely half ass copied from some other company that also has no clue as to build a performance spring. No matter how cheap I would not run them. I would rather cut a couple coils off of the stock springs as it would more than likely be safer than the Megan springs. I am not 100% sure that your axle snapping is due to the springs or a combination of a weak aftermarket axle or an axle already damaged finished off by the over lowering of the suspension.

Like I said, I have never seen over lowering a vehicle snap an axle, even with the shittiest of springs, in 10 years of wrenching and running a shop. If you showed that picture in the first place I could have told you it was the wrong axle. Your friend and instructor should have known that also if they work on vehicles all the time, especially the instructor since he is supposed to be teaching people how to work on vehicles. That right there is one of the reasons that people who graduate auto tech school don't know shit and will start a buck or two above an entry level oil tech with a 20k+ bill to pay off. I started and finished tech school and it got me to where I am today because I got lucky and had 2 very good teachers and I took advantage of the opportunity I paid a lot of money to have. Most kids and adults I have hired right out of school don't know much. They may have a better understanding of how a car works than a lube tech but sometimes it is even worse that way because they don't have the experience they need to actually work in a garage and make them money or have a cocky "I think I know everything" attitude since I finished tech school. Just enough knowledge to be dangerous, which is why techs right out of school don't make much money. They are a liability, plain and simple. Well that most don't know how to fix a car either. My advise to you is to be humble and learn something every day. You learned something today that your teacher should have been able to teach you without all this hassle. If something doesn't look right, 99.9% of the time it isn't right. He should have know that was the wrong axle, whether he knows shit about sentras or not. A car is a car and an axle is an axle, no matter what the car. Common sense says that if the axle doesn't slide in all the way to the point it is leaking gear oil, it is either wrong for the vehicle or made wrong, very wrong.

From the beginning he has been telling me it was 1) wrong axle cause it doesn't sit right or 2) do to springs. But since I had bought the axle new he was stumped. But he kept saying "I'm 99% sure it's wrong axle, not the springs do to the caster and camber not needing adjustments" it was a matter of getting the new axle. And this thread was started before I actually had him look into it. As for my cousin. He should have notched seeing I had him install it. But it is what it is. Both of my instructors are very excellent tech's

And I'm not the "I know it all type." ;-) I'm no pro. Just starting out. We all have to start somewhere.

That is true, which is why if you have the right attitude about it and put in your time, you will be successful
