What would cause brakes to grind like this?
Occurred out of nowhere. Breaks seem to be stopping the car perfectly fine, and from what I can see with a quick visual inspection, the pads look fine (still about .25 or so space between the rotors and (what I call) annoyance pins.

Whats happening is, when I drive, the passenger side brake grinds and squeaks, but when I put my foot on the break, the sound disappears... Only happening on the passenger side.

Are the little metal plates which sit around the pad still there? It could be that one is gone, or "loose" which causes the pad to rub, and then it vibrates. I've had this in the past as well (no "anti-squeek plates"... Very annoying.

From what I can tell everything is in tact. I haven't pulled the caliper off yet due to lack of tools at the moment, but from what I can see everything looks right...

Check your wheel bearings.

Found my problem. For some reason, the outer pad is still OK, but the inner pad is worn more and the annoyance pin (lol) was scratching my rotor. I just bent it back a little to get rid of the sound until I can get the pads replaced.

That means you have another problem besides just the worm pads...uneven wear

Yes, you have a sticking caliper pin.
