Better not be, or you'd have more braking on one side of the rear than the other. That would be bad.

Quick question and I always was wondering this, is the Brake master Cylinder from the 2.0 B13 SE-R the exact same as the 1.6 GA16DE one? And if it is how much bigger?

My FSM shows the GA16DE 'standard' M/C is 3/4", the GA16DE (GXE or XE model) is 13/16", and the SR20DE M/C is 7/8".

Except for the GA16DE with ABS, they also show a 7/8" M/C bore.

Oh ok- I figured that the SE-R brake master cylinder would be a little bigger to compensate for having rear discs. I have a B13 4Door with the GA16DE (soon to be SR20DET) and have the AD22VF front brake upgrade but am also converting the original rear drums to SE-R rear discs- have all parts but I hear different opinions about either using the original B13 SE-R brake master cylinder, the NX2K master cylinder or U13 master cylinder. Which one would ultimatley be the best for the set up? I just want a proper set up and correct pedal pressure.

The B13 SE-R and NX2K master cylinders are the same according to all replacement parts on rockauto.com

I use my stock B14 master cylinder with the AD22VF brakes in the front and stock discs in the rear.

Thats exactly what I thought to! The NX2K Brake master cylinder needed to be used to set up everything correctly and establish a good pedal pressure. But if B13 SE-Rs and NX2K Brake Master Cylinders are the same parts or Part#s, wouldnt I be ok with a B13 SE-R brake master cylinder? Reason I ask is because I have EVERYTHING to convert the rear to a B13 SE-R Rear Disc set up Including the B13 SE-R Brake Master Cylinder. Hope I dont have to hunt down an NX2K one.

the b13 and nx masters are the same. really only the porportioning valves are different. but parts stores sell then as the same. so you have to get used or new oem to get the right thing and the valves aren't avaiable separate.

pm me if you need one i may have an extra soon.
