TEINs for the B13....
I was wondering if anybody had a review of them , or have ever had a chance to compare them to the Progress coilovers , I am really thinking about stepping up my game as far as my suspension is concerened .....I donjt mind my ksports , I really have not put that many mile son them mayby 6k miles .....but I am no pro at setting them up , and I would like somthing that rode smoother , but still had a decent drop ....so opinions on both would be awsome , but a comparison would be great

The teins have a higher spring rate, when I first got them I didnt like them, but now I enjoy them as the are nice and stiff and adjustable.

With Progress you're stuck with one spring rate. There are three different sets of springs for the Tein SS, each approx 50lbs different, so you can choose a spring rate and adjust the dampers.

On my SS I use ground control springs, 325lb spring rates. You have to use the 2.5in diameter spring though.

not true.Progress does have multiple spring rates available, and will revalve them for you accordingly. You just have to ask.

This is true I actually just called them the other day.

Revalving is 79 per body
Springs are 149 per pair

OK ,Right, I should have said you're stuck with one spring rate unless you pay to revalve. I still like Teins adjustable dampers, there is the option of swapping springs without sending off the dampers and paying each time.
I like to experiment and I'm cheap... I mean frugal.

I had a set of RNN14 TeinSS units on my B13 and really liked them. If you put in a cage or tie in the rear strut towers to the chassis to stiffen things up, the stiffer rear spring rates actually ride very well.
