What red said. I raised the car up some more and took the preload I had on all 4 corners. Way better than it use to be but still get complaints from the passengers.

On my Ksports I followed a how to from another forum that said to "once the spring perch conacts the spring, turn 3-4 more times" I did this and it rode like complete ass!

Called Ksport and talked to the tech dept. they almost laughed on the phone and said No, never dial in pre-load (which is what the above instructions are doing BTW) on a street car. I took the pre-load completely out and the car rode sooooo much better.

I would like to duplicate that ride with these Teins if possible. Hopefully some softer rate springs will do the trick.

I believe so, I remember seeing a list on their site once, i'll have to see if the rates are printed or stamped on my current ones and give them a call.

Yes.

And I would *guess* (pretty sure) that there are compatible springs from other companies (Eibach, etc...) that would work as well.

Eh, I think I'll keep em!

It's kind of become a mission to make them bend to my will now, I will win damnit!

Anyone know what makes the KSports ride rough? Stiff springs or bad dampening? I contacted them and they can provide custom spring rates, so since I can get them for a great deal through my work, I may just go that route.

On Ksports my experience has been that if you dare dial in one turn of pre-load they will ride like ass on anything less than a billard table smooth road.

Pre-load is acheived on Ksports by doing this: When you turn the bottom spring perch up you want to turn it just to where it meets the spring and stop there. Just enough to take the wiggle out of the spring. Now, if at this point you keep turning the bottom spring perch you are adding pre-load.
If this is how yours are set up you can simply jack the car up and get your handy Ksport wrench's out and set up like I mentioned above, if this doesnt make the ride to your satisfaction you may have to go with a softer spring rate.

For 99% of the people in the world pre-load on Ksports is not acceptable for DD and or road use (unless your uber hardcore and cool like dat).
