Yeah, when using AGX's with GC's sleeves the GC plates up front and some Motivational style plates in the rear will give you a little suspension travel back. Maybe about .75"-1" Even so, you don't really want to lower the vehicle more than about 1.5" You just use the plates to acheive an acceptable amount of suspension travel. It is also a good idea to use Koni bumbstops with this set-up.

Yeah well right now im running 195/50/15 sized tires. And would i need the camber plates? When i had the rear spring up front it gave me sum nice negative camber. But nothing crazy. So it would be a bad idea to use the gc coils and agxs?

You don't need the camber plates. Mostly I was recommending them because they also provide a little bit of a drop up front. However they don't work with stock diameter springs so that was sort of a bad suggestion.

I think the GC sleeves with small diameter coils on the AGX struts is an okay idea but won't get you the drop up front you're after without sacrificing travel. So again, not the best idea.

Sorry.

So I was curious as to where I could buy these parts? I am having trouble finding any decent websites that carry parts for our cars (although I am looking for a B14).

Oh ok. Im trying to see my options here and it seems coils would be the better way to go. So it would be a bad idea to just slip the gc coils over the agxs and call it a day?

quick question..ok so anytime i go over a decent sized pothole or sometimes when i can't dodge a manhole cover fast enough and my car has to take the punishment(ouch) the rear struts has a clunking noise to it....now i doubt the struts are blown else the ride wouldn't be stiff and i push down on the rear of the car and no noise..everything seems fine...could it be my tophats need replacing?

The noise could be an anti-sway bar mounting point that is loose, a suspension bolt that is loose allowing slop, many things could cause that noise.

When you push down on the car, you are basically pushing against the spring not the AGX. The spring has more force than the AGX (RM are basically ~325 lb per inch of movement for front and ~250 lb per inch rear).

As far as lowering the car, Koni inserts (CSK) will not lower the car at all by themselves. The springs you run lower the car. The struts (B13) work with the springs to control the motion. If you want to go lower, you run a lower spring or a coil-over setup THEN you run a shortened strut so you have suspension travel with the lower spring.

If you have a street car, you do not need camber plates (unless the car is so low that you need to get rid of negative camber) - Ben only recommended them to help lower the car a touch while utilizing the rest of the parts you own.

Lastly, you do not need to fab anything to run GC coil-over sleeves on an AGX as pointed out. They will slide over, but there are tips on the forum to make them quieter, etc or allow you to run a wider tire (cutting the perch).

gotcha...i'm gonna take a look at the car today and see if anything is loose..and the gc coilovers sleeves will lower the car by how much..or the max. drop?

I have GC and AGX's that I still need to put on my car. From what I've read, you don't want to go lower than 1.5"
