Thread: Strange sound...decel and accel mostly

I have this weird sound that I can feel in my gas pedal when accel and decel or even after coming off a bump, basically anytime the chassis moves up or down in the front. It sounds like motor mount issue, like that dull rattling with very predictable non-sparratic sound, but I have prothanes, and I just replaced all the springs, shocks, and the sound still exists.

Any suggestions on how I can replicate the sound? (Is only when the car is moving of course) or suggestions as to what the crack it is?

Brakes maybe? They can make a variety of noises

How is the bearing in the center of the passenger axle?

Front sway bar?

just a thought. how are your rubber bushings that connect the cross member to the chassis? i know that when mine were going, i could always hear/feel a slight vib when giving it gas/slowing down by staying in one gear.

could be the winner....my x member bolts were stripped in front...and when i punch and let off the gas,id hear/feel vibrations thru the gas pedal.....so i got a 3/8 drill bit,drilled UP thru the frame and installedc som GRADE 8 nuts n bolts. and vibrations are gone and some of the wheel hop i had to is minized...

damn...so yesterday i help my neigbor out with cgahnging his front brakes on his like 94 carolla...and after wehn i went somwhere last night,ive got a weird noise /vibration coming thru my shifter ONLY....and i can hear it if i stick my head outa the window smonewhat and i can hear it faintly if i put my ear towards the shifter....

-i only hear it feel it when de cellerating,around 2-3k rpm....

-my shifter has ALOT(like and inch) of play WHEN in gear- side to side
---i think it has somthing to to with the trans and shifter rods or somthing...

-i know i need front left balljoint,and my front right wheel bearing is bad...

i feel like helping out with the neighbor,somthing was contagious...

what would determin a bad one?

If you wheel bearing is bad that could very well make a full range of music too
