Brakes Question - Caliper Sticking
I've got a problem with my front driver's side caliper repeatedly sticking and sticking hard. I take everything apart (caliper, torque member, pads, slider pins), clean and regrease everything, put it back together, enjoy about 3 min of free-spinning rotor and then it starts constantly squealing again. I've changed calipers twice, and I don't think they're the problem. My uncle thinks maybe I've got a kink in the hard line from the M/C. Any ideas?

The sliders are ok? You should be able to follow the line from the MC to the drivers caliper, its not very long.

I'm not so sure about the sliders. They don't seem to be stuck, but the longer rubber boot is torn. They slide easy though.

EDIT: Ordered both the slider pin boot and the hard line. Hoping to have good news in a few days.

I installed the hard line but not the pin boot. I think it fixed it. I'll get the pin boot on Saturday. I'll let you know.

Could be a "warped" rotor. Have you checked to see whether it is a uniform thickness?

Haven't yet but it'd be making the pedal jump and feel lopey as hell though wouldn't it? Then again, it is a duralast rotor. All 4 of them are though, all new as of 2 months ago, and it rolls smooth, aside from the caliper sticking of course.

The brakes now seem to be behaving themselves, but I keep hearing the same whine as squeaky brakes, only quieter. I don't think it's related to the engine as it is always on, from about 30mph or so on, and only goes away when I go under about 15 mph. Then, once I break 30 or so again, it's back. What could it be? I'm going insane here.
