wait koni's just bolt up to the rear b14 from the b15?

You use the fronts for both front and rear and have to insert them into the housings.

You are on the right track. I double checked the Eibach specs after I sent you a PM.

Pairing a set of CSK's with your Eibach Pro Kit springs will provide a 1.4" drop, you will only lose 4/10's of an inch of overall travel, and the ride should be very, very, comfortable for the fiance. Slightly stiffer springs than OEM, very little (and acceptable) overall loss of travel, paired with much better (Koni) struts.

Pretty White has that exact set-up on his NX, and he loves it.

As for which specific Koni inserts to use....hell if I know. I compile the information, I am very rarely the actual source.

When I upgrade to the CSK's, I will literally have to go re-research my Koni options by perusing Steves (98sr20ve) thread. After that, someone is building them for me, someone who will know exactly which inserts to use for my specific purposes. Someone much more mechanically inclined than myself.

Even for the rears?? I was under the impression that you can use the B15 SpecV yellow rears in place of the B14 reds, the only thing is that they are a little longer so the ride height is a little higher??

My question is: How do I run yellow in the rear of my B14?

You buy them and bolt them in. They make a B14 specific yellow and the B15 also works perfectly. The B14 perches are different than the B15 but the B15 will handle more spring if you are concerned with that. I used B15's front and rear.

I dont think they make the B14 yellow, the only one I see on koni's website is the red.

B14 Front: 8640 1354 (Koni Red) - $148.00
B14 Rear: 8040 1220 (Koni Red) - $135.00

B15 Front: 8610 1409Sport (Koni Yellow) - $151.00
B15 Rear: 80 2838Sport (Koni Yellow) - $108.00

Front Koni Yellow allows for external adjustment whereas the koni reds require removal to adjust
Rear Koni Yellow/Red both require removal for adjustment.

The yellow rears also require removal, only the yellow fronts are adjustable on the vehicle. Also on the B14 and B15 cars you use inserts for the front and the rears are just bolt in replacements. There are a # of options for inserts on the front depending on your goals. Personally I think the insert designed for the spec v is a good all around performer as it is mild enough for the street yet can handle a slightly higher spring rate if you decide to do more track day stuff. If your car is a dedicated track car skip the above and go straight to 8611 Koni inserts.

Wes I think you should add some of you knowledge to Shawn;s writeup. It looks like you could add some info to this very important subject.

I would love to see a chassis specific section for the Koni setups, recommended choices, etc... It seems as though you have to jump all around to get these answers and for me the fist place I go with a suspension questions is right to the sticky Shawn wrote up.

"B13 - Here's your choices, model numbers, prices, and why.
