:Ok i need better ride quality:
Ok heres the deal

Im currently just started my new job at a hospital which is about a 35 mins drive, about 25 mins of the drive is highway which is decent on a scale of 1-10, 10 being most harsh, its about a 4 which isnt too bad but then when i gotta go downtown and cross over all these different kinda roads and bumps, its very frustrating and annoying at times AND IS ABOUT A 8 ON THE SCALE!!!!!

Heres my setup suspenison wise

b14 ksport, yea i kno ftl!!!! i belive they might be blown
custom 3 peice harness bar
fstb F& R

but heres my things

I really love the drop i have because i dont think b14s look right unless theres no wheelgap, im not a fan of wheelgap but its not too slammed wheres theres no fuction, the car handles amazingly well and settings are usally on soft

but i would go with agx and some kinda spring but it wont give me the drop i currently have

SO::::: what would be a good suspension setup that would give me amazing ride quality with the ride height drop i like

my choice where:

d sports
tein ss
agx with g/c
i heard about csk????

can someone point me around please, thanks

Ksports are cheapo, poorly valved, reportedly harsh coilovers. You think they may be blown. So you have broken sh*t that was the bottom of the coilover barrel to begin with. Lovely.

Gee, you think lowering those Ksports to the point of zero suspension travel may have taken out one of your struts?

You got exactly what you paid for sir.

What you think of the aesthetics of the vehicle is irrelevant to your inquiry on a smooth suspension.

Oh really?

You are not nearly suspension savvy enough to even make that statement with any accuracy or validity. It is a patently false statement.

Do YOU know how much suspension travel you have OEM stock? Do YOU know how much you can afford to lose?

No kidding. The drop you currently have makes the car handle like sh*t, you have zero suspension travel, the ride is harsh and unyeilding, bottoms out constantly, and is sooooo stupidly low that you probably blew one of the struts.

You can argue with my assessment, but...well...I know the facts about our suspension, and you sir, are operating in the dark.

You are NOT going to get "amazing ride quality" on a B14 with "no fender gap" because of your ignorant and childish fascination with the aesthetics of your wheel gap. Give me a f*cking break dude.

No, no, no.

CSK? You "heard about them"?!? What happened when you punched "CSK+strut" into the Search Engine???

Damn skippy. I'll be glad to point you in the right direction. I am literally at the point of annoyance with you, your incredibly ignorant and contradictory statements, and this already ridiculous thread.

Perhaps I am being cranky, short tempered, rude, ill-mannered, tactless and grouchy? That is probably the case, I have a tendency to get rather easily annoyed.

Here is a link to The Suspension Thread. It is located about a half a damn inch above the "Thread Starter" button on this page.

http://www.sr20-forum.com/suspension/1801-b13-b14-b15-suspension-information.html

It is readily apparent that you have NOT read that thread. Until you read and comprehend that thread, you are too damn ignorant to even ask intelligent questions.

Nobody should have to start a Suspension Discussion by explaining to you what is a "CSK". Educate yourself by doing some research and reading. You can pretty much start and finish with that one thread provided. Get yourself a basic knowledge level of the facts concerning your OEM suspension and what modifications are appropriate in order to reach your goals.

What you like visually (:rolleyes is NOT, NO WAY, NO HOW, going to work with your goal of a "better ride quality." Get over it and your silly "I hate any wheelgap" or go buy another vehicle for your daily commute.

Do yourself a favor, do not ask any more suspension questions, not even so much as one. Not in this thread, or any other thread, until you have fully read The Suspension Thread.

Otherwise you are merely wasting time for both of us and anybody else that attempts to help you.

Once you read that thread posted, then come back with any questions you may have. I'll personally be very happy to assist you in your EDUCATED suspension questions and the options available to you.

^I agree^

Read up in the suspension thread on what items give more travel. If indeed you "need" the height you are at then you are going to need to add travel. There are many of them out there, you just need to find them and spend the cash. For what you are asking you will probably spend around $2-3000 to do it right.

thanks, that was more of an appropriate answer i was looking for

its typical how ppl act over the computer, hard, wannabe bad ass, but when push comes to shove and its man to man, or man to boy in his case, it would be a different story, this guy may know his **** but he's fake. i dont deal with fake people, lifes to short to deal with guys like him, the world would be alot better without his kind. With this said, this thread need not go any further

thanks to the logical people that gave there 02.

I didnt give you any more info that what he did. And if you did read the suspension thread than you would not have asked the questions you did. You may be 20 and have lots of things to do, so do I. I have a career, wife, kid, house, and friends so i am pretty busy. But when it comes to my car i spend the time needed to make sure i am getting what is best for my car, not what others have said works. The suspension thread lists years of compiled information that will with no doubt give you the answers you asked.

My person opinion is that your car is too low and nothing, and i mean nothing, will work that will just bolt up to the car. We do not have much travel from the factory and we need every bit of it. I did my research and i used the parts i thought was the best for the money and what was available to me. I also spent close to $4000 on it but it works great and rides great.

If you honestly want a great riding car for daily use put the factory springs back in with some GR2s.

And BTW, i would not mess with ShawnB either, he does know his stuff and was completely in line. Do you know how many questions we get like this, over, and over, and over, and over again. Pointless. He spend countless hours putting the suspension thread together which helped me and so many others make their own decisions on what to get vrs what they needed or wanted from the car.

Do yourself a favor and re-read the suspension thread again and come back with some better questions pertaining to specific things. You will find that more people will be willing to help.
