Keep in mind it is a purpose built circle track car so I am not sure how much or how accurate a reading we would be able to get. That kit looks like cheap insurance to me to make sure your car is acting like it should 100% of the time.

This system can measure bump steer down to 0.001". The dial gauge is very accurate and you can definitley see small changes under suspension movement.

For me I wouldn't mess with bump steer on my car without this gauge. There is zero information on this subject for the Maximas so I have no idea what sized spacer I should use for the lowered suspension I have.

To defray the cost a friend of mine is going half on it with me but we have to adjust his Mustang Cobra with IRS. He has bump steer adjustable at all four corners and says it is in need of fine tuning even though he is running a recomended race tested aftermarket setup.

Bump, is this kit ready yet? I don't check this forum regularly, but I still have cash in hand and ready to pay.

Thanks

Does anyone have a bump steer measuring device they wouldn't mind renting out or know where one could be rented from?

the good thing is these look great. the zinc plating should hold up better. the soild shoulder will make them stronger and prevent any galling issues.

Thanks for all the information provided on "bumpsteer" from BenFenner, Shingouki, and BlackMax.

Would most knowledgeable suspension folks agree that in general this is a modification best suited towards race car vehicles and/or people that have access to such a gauge?

Further, this bumpsteer kit is not really necessary or appropriate on a street car?

I'm trying to get a firm handle on this units intended customer base.

1) Primarily Street Car with no access to a "bumpsteer gauge"?

2) Primarily Street Car with access to a "bumpsteer gauge"?

3) Primarily Track Car with no access to a "bumpsteer gauge"?

4) Primarily Track Car with access to a "bumpsteer gauge"? YES.

I answered that last one myself.

The rest I am not so sure.

Any input is appreciated.
