I have been thinking about this as well. We might be able to get a bar welded up that would be removable to span the B pillars. I think some nice 4pts would really complete the suspension and let me rip a little harder around those corners. I saw in one of your pics a harness, did you get something? if so what?

They're Ben W's sparcos from his part-out. It's just bolted in right now, using the factory mounting points. One side of the lap belt is a little long, which makes the shoulder belts go a little diagonal, but the combo of the SpecV seats and a 4pt is like 100x times better than the regular B14 seats and belt. I have the other harness and hardware if you're interested?

Additionally if you are looking for something different
OG racing has FIA approved Gforce 6 point cam lock harnesses in stock right now. 154.99

I just bought 2 more sets to go in the new car, along with another 4 point KIRK Racing bar. Should take just over 3 weeks to get it.

A five or six point would be nice, but I doubt it would be very effective without an actual submarine belt slot built into the seat. And I never have to do any serious braking with the autocross courses around here so submarine-ing is never really an issue. A good deal nontheless!

Stock B13 seats and a bolt-in Sparco harness did the trick in my parents car.

hmm, I think i will do a little more research and figure out what to do. Do you plan on putting a crossbar in or is it not needed with these belts?

It's not needed. You can leave the backseat in and with the snap-in clips on the harness you can put it in or take it out in a couple of minutes.

The Schroth Rallye 4-point is fine for autocross, all you need. Not SCCA legal for sanctioned track events, just know that going in. Most club track days are ok with it because the "Y" joint (really an "X") is not sewn, what they look for is metal on metal buckle.

Btw my other 6-point worked very well with stock 350Z seats, no need for special slots, and nfw you would submarine with that. I miss the 6-point in my B13 for track days but just haven't gotten to putting a bar I can attach it to safely yet, so the Schroth is an excellent compromise for club track days, and very good for autocross. You'll never settle for a stock belt again, no way.

Wish I had 6-point yesterday, something to really plant my butt and support my thighs in the seat on the banking, there's a lot of force trying to move you toward the door at 120+ mph.

Nice tip, thanks! Do you have a link to the specific KIRK bar?
