gus this car is so damn heavy haha we were struggling to push it around the other week.

Is not heavy the coils are rubbing all 4 tiers , there is no wheel spacers on yet and there is no alignment.

Engine is done , car is almost completed , 35 days for Sand Blast Rally 2013 .

So i was spoust to leave this coming Thursday to SanBlast Rally , on Sunday wild driving the rally car and getting the final bug out after lots of step backs, the engine witch had under 200 miles gave up.
Car started smoking heavily, after running a compretion test it was determined that cylinder 2 had lost compretion, went from 270 lbs to 35 lbs .
To the drawing board again ............

Really sorry to hear about the setback Gus! What did you have done machine work wise?

Ouch. Hope it's just a head gasket or something in the top end that you can address quickly, as opposed to rings or a piston.

I'm still waiting on the machinist to finish cutting valve reliefs in my SR16VE pistons so I can get my engine together.

Well I have a VE with N1 cams and pistons , BC springs and retainers that is really about it , tranny has a 4.7 final and a quaife LSD .
I'm hoping to have a engine for Empire Rally in April .

I had give up for now , to many set backs sense I started with this build ,I'm going to not event touch the car taking a break from it, I have a new guy that works on VE,s that is going to help me out to rebuild this one or build a new one
