I was reading the EGR bung is crap and doesn't seal right, but everything I read doesn't have a good solution. This will be a DD and I want to keep the EGR. Supposedly some guy was making a gasket in the past but no longer does..

Anyone know a good solution to this issue?

Same here. Ebay header with plugged EGR. Worked awesome, no complaints for that price!

It shoudln't be too hard to get the EGR to seal, use some exhaust mounting paste?

idk, I'm going to have to try to come up w/something. I want to keep everything on/with the car and no CEL's and have it pass emissions if ever required (currently live in KS where there are no emissions). My b14 has no emissions stuff and runs a catless exhaust, but I like to keep my DD's as stock as possible.

I thought only California and Arizona did the sniffer tailpipe test (meaning you don't need EGR to pass emissions in most states)

You have to put a resister in place of the EGR sensor to avoid a CEL (there is a writeup on this somewhere)

The ones with the threaded primary to secondary flange usually fits best for me.

A few counties in PA (higher density of population) have tailpipe sniffers on older OBD1 cars. (pre-1995 models)

I forgot who it was but someone on g20.net back years ago made a bushing that you seat inside the egr bung that makes it seal correctly.
