This. I bought a '97 200sx SE-R for a reasonable price that already had an exhaust. Then I modified it by getting a cold air intake ($150) - ebay header ($150) - JWT ECU used ($250) - Gspec pulley ($125) - Tomei 270 cams ($260) - Exedy clutch ($400).... timing @ 19.. so something like $1400 in mods... MAYBE making 160-165hp to the wheels..

but I have '92 with the VE swap with a few mods and it would blow the DE off the road.

Is your car stock or have some mods done to it?
Show us a pic of the car and a pic under the hood and maybe we can help you out a little more if we know this info.

Ok I will post pics up as soon as possible. The car has a cold air intake racing headers and cat back exhaust that's all

1 - Tune the car up. Spark plugs, oil change, and check the O2 sensor.
2 - Intake filter
3 - Advance the timing from 15* to 17* since you are all motor and pretty much stock. This will pick up a few ponies.
4 - Get a header, this will help the DE the most for now.
5 - Don't beat on the car to hard(driving it) and take care of the small things that are not that expensive.
6 - After you've done the above, continue to focus on school. These cars will be around, but focus on what is important as this is a hobbie. You don't want to get in over your head to early.

P.S. SR24VE is custom. They don't make those from the factory. We are talking about taking a block and having it bored and sleeved from some serious power. $$$$$$.

Ok so I have been searching yay. But :-( I'm confused from the sr20ve Because there is the 1.6L then there's the 2.0L. But the 2.0L on Wikipedia the 2.0L has a whole different look then the jdm 2.0L I see on websites, because the one I see on the jdm sites looks exactly like the 1.6L but with a black cover and has the same Neo vvl on the head. So what I was wondering is there a different look for the 2.0L? Or is the 2.0L that I am seeing really the 1.6L?

If you're going by vavle covers from a trust worthy shipper it should be this:

Red Neo VVL Cover = SR16VE VVL N1 motor (RARE)
Example: http://www.sr20-forum.com/naturally-aspirated/48420-fl-pulsar-vzr-n1-motor-parts.html

Blue Neo VVL Cover = SR16VE VVL motor
Example: http://www.sr20-forum.com/naturally-aspirated/60620-sr16ve-motor-parts-08-07-12-a.html

Black Neo VVL Cover = SR20VE VVL motor
Example: http://www.sr20-forum.com/naturally-aspirated/58644-sr20ve-motor.html

Ready for more!?!?!?!
Click at your own risk...

Black 20V cover = SR20VE 20V motor
Example: http://www.sr20-forum.com/members-rides/49261-my-friends-92-burgundy-ser-20v-motor.html

There's actually a turbo version of the 20V motor as well.

You're getting better. Lol.

@b13sr20BB oh ok thanks. So I was right ok I just wasn't sure. I have been doing a whole lot of research on my phone my gf goes crazy because all I'm doing in looking at videos on YouTube or searching lolz. But thanks for the help. OK so what if I do the sr20ve swap.would it be better to get the sr20ve trans or go with an LSD b14 trans for my b13 ser?

Use your b13 trans. Its is identical to a b14. It will bolt up to a ve engine. Also make sure you use redline shock proff oil/ or something comparable in your trans. Theses engines respond very well to modification and hold gobbs of h/p. Unfortunately the transmissions dont, unless you run heavy oil. There are alternatives but digest the basics first.
