later ones were quite remarkable. the engine sits behind the front wheels and the engine is so low that the driveshafts run along side the head. it had water cooled brakes and v shaped radiator just to name a few bits

does anyone have any pictures of this stuff?

Wow! I have never seen ANYTHING LIKE THAT before! I had no idea, I have seen bits and pieces and the earlier cars...That is just nuts!

I think the regulations said you had to use stock castings so they took the head and cut it into three pieces consisting of the timing chain cover, the valves, and the CAS section. Then they flipped around the middle part and welded it back together to get a reverse flowing head. That might also explain the special valve covers they used.

At least that's how I imagine they did it. I'm not very certain.
