Autech DE Build
gday Guys!

Just starting my build thread in here It wont be an overnight jobbie

Firstly im starting off with An Autech HN15 pulsar - and using the factory motor out of that. Its got 52,000km's on it. and is stock standard.

To date its produced 100kw wheels...however having a few fuel pump issues. On max load from about 5,000 rpm onwards, im seing pressure drops from 52psi right down to 25 psi at the rail - sending things dangerously lean. We only had this problem just occur overnight literally!

The first load of parts i have are:
Walbro 220l/h in tank pump
GTI-R quad throttles
CF plenum box.

I will be adapting the throttles to the sr20 highport manifold - a basic cut and shut - and then using the CF plenum to enclose the bellmouths (removing the stock gtir plenum). This wil allow me to use an AFM and stil retain a factory ecu like setup which wil give me plenty of tuning options down the road.

Ideally i wil be getting some stainless xforce extractors off a mate soon - and then possibly going a 2.5 inch mandrel bend exhaust. Previously other owners have reached up to 120wheel kw on just the extractors, exhaust and fuel pressure adjustment.

I wil be trying to retain the factory 11.5:1 CR - and am unsure how i should be approachign the headwork (sr20's arent my stringest forte).

Any tips - ideas or expereinces would be great to know!! My goal is to acheive a reliable street driven - 135wheel kw + motor. Am i on the wrong planet? Dyno graphs below....

I would run an AEBS header, Hotshot Gen 6 header, or a Fuji VE header if you could find any of these. Also run a 3 inch exhaust, with the high comp you will not lose much down low from it and only gain more up top. I would also run a real high profile cam, if you want more streetable than look no further than the JWT S4. Otherwise I would go with the BC stage 3s and valvetrain. The JWT C3s might be an option if you want to mess with a lot of fine tuning and have mainly all top end power. Cam gears are a must for that setup.

I would go for the C3s for myself if i were you. You have a high comp engine, and with the ITBs you will really be able to make use of such a high profile camshaft as the C3. good luck and keep us updated!

I would get a nice 4 to 1 header if you have the cash. You will make more power through the whole powerband over any production header if it is made right.
