I got a J30 diff, a 300zx diff and a R32 diff call me MR diff lol.

You guys are a bunch wimps. A properly broken in clutch type with additive shouldn't chunk much at all. My older cusco 2 way doesn't at all and locks like a champ.

Some used diffs may not have been broken in properly, someone buys it and reports that it clicks -> therefor "all" clutch types make noise. Granted some of the higher end diffs ie ats, kaaz, etc with higher tq break-aways may be more noisy and aggressive. Don't forget lots of oem cars had clutch type lsd's.

HLSD's still one wheel when one wheel is off the ground.

like the z31turbo 87' and r32gtr ...and you can always pack more plates and shims in too ...that's basically what the nismo's are
