No doubt that all the folks that come out and actually show up for the wonderful conventions many folks have put together will still be there with our toys showing them off and having a blast, just like in 2012.

Looking forward to updates about the Kart track possiblities. Keep your heads up @SE-Rican and @LOUROK.

Amazing that no matter what business field, this shit happens. This happens in the music industry all the time. Either a double booking, or a manager books you then gets fired then all of the things they booked go out the window, and no one bothers to call you. But that's just me and like 1-3 musicians being inconvienced. I cant believe they'd do this to a group that had the day scheduled what 10 months ago?? Unreal

It is not just us, it is the possible end of this track for all we know. The history there is unreal and it would be a travesty if this track were to remain closed.

I don't care about the inconvenience besides feeling for Rob and Lou at this point. I know those guys stress levels may have precipitated to an all-time high from that news announcement. I don't want the track to go under and stay under.

well who got most inconvenienced of all? Them! they were the ones who set it all up and had to collect the fees and make sure things were in order and pick the place and plan the date and reserve it and post about it and make threads about it etc..

the rest of us are just out a track day we were looking forward to.. it really is messed up that this happened to the guys who made it happen

Is there another track somewhere within 100 miles? Maybe move the hotel and convention to a nearby city? How about open track days at any tracks? I'm sure you all already thought of stuff like this, but just throwing it out there.

PITT Race and MidOhio are the next closest tracks... MidOhio will never be affordable even on a weekday (its a premier track) but I'm surprised PITT Race is that much more expensive to be honest.

One of the only ways to schedule a trackday this late before the event, is to saddle off another scheduled trackday at another track (also, this will be the only way it will be affordable, especially if it's a more premier" track).

But with that, also brings a much more structured event (instructors, classroom time, Novice/Intermediate classes, etc).

Just a random thought......

Gingerman is about the only other 'affordable' weekday track in the area and it's not exactly that close to Cleveland, Ohio either...

not sure if Waterford Hills north of Detroit is affordable either (never looked into it to be honest)

LOL, that's hilarious.

Subscribed, even though I don't receive e-mail notifications anyways...

For a Kart day, what kind of times would they be open? I would consider moving my arrival date to Thursday early afternoon and save the cost of 1 nights stay.
