Nothing against those that planned the 2012 convention, but the hotel staff at that convention were dicks.

Sure, we tend to get rowdy, and we've had our fair share of hotel staff warn us. The 2007 convention tends to come to mind. Anyone remember "Club 420" at the Embassy Suites in Chicago?

But the thing is, I don't blame hotel staff at the other conventions, because quite frankly, we were out of hand. However, 2012, I don't think we were (in comparison to prior years). The staff was overly rude to us. I vaguely remember being threatened to have the cops called on us if we didn't leave the lobby. That's just BS.

Anyway, like mentioned, there are plenty of other hotels to try. And this by no means is a complaint against the organizers. There's no way they could have known that the hotel staff would be as rude as they were.

It'd be awesome if we could get a hotel staff like we had in Savannah. That was just epic!

Guys I understand that we want to have a good time but, at the same time some sort of courtesy is needed. I am not knocking anyone as I am just speaking in general. When I looked for a hotel in 2012 I was very concerned with a good location, a hotel who offered shuttle services to and from the airport and I also looked for a hotel that would give us the best bang for buck with quality as far as the rooms were concerned. Again I am not knocking anyone nor defending the hotel staff in any way.

This year we will do our best to find a hotel that will cater to our needs but, at the same time we need to be civil. Our main focus is space for our cars in a super safe location and the general comfort/quality for our people.

Hard thing with all of this is that we are trying to keep everyone happy but, that is impossible. Just trust us that we will have another kickass Convention. Not sure if we will be able to make a bubble bath in the lobby water fountain or move inside furniture outside but, I can promise it will be awesome and a Convention to remember.

Like I said, no fault on you guys by any means. And 9/10 times I don't blame hotel management for telling us we're out of control, because we usually are. But 2012, they were noticeably more rude than at other conventions. Nothing you could predict, nor will you be able to predict it this year. Just fingers crossed that wherever we end up is nicer to us than in 2012, that's all

I'm kinda old too.
I personally would be mad if I took my family somewhere and ppl were loud and keeping me up.
Have to look at both points of view.

Just my two cents.

In 2012 we didn't keep anyone up. Inside my room at least, you couldn't hear anything that was going in the parking lot or in the lobby. If anything, the other guests (a bunch of high school kids on some sort of athletic trip) were an issue, be it, somewhat minor.

The hotel staff perceived us to be an issue based on some pre-conceived notions. Blame the Fast and the Furious...I dunno.

What about moving the cars into the lobby next to the furniture? That would a Convention first....hmmm, we'll need a very wide front door.

In all seriousness, you guys did an awesome job in 2012. Where ever you chose to have it, I'm sure it will be fine for 99% of the Conventioneers. Don't sweat it.

It's a blast!!!! I've been to only a couple of these, wish I was more consistent.
Great bunch of people, especially the organizers and long time members. Unfortunately there were a couple of knucklehead hecklers at the drag strip this year, don't think they were part of our group (or I should say I certainly hope they were not part of our group) however, if it happens again for 2014, I'm going to have a huge issue with it.

What I would like to do is be the one SE-R that everyone can look at and think back and remember to when their SE-R was new and unchanged or just be able to view the car in all it's glory just the way it came off the showroom floor....I also believe that if the modifcations were kept to a minimum then there might be more SE-R's out there....however, the fact that the B13 grows increasingly rare year by year is what adds to the mystery and growing to desire of people to own one.....just this morning I had a neighbor ring my doorbell and ask me if I wanted to sell mine....I promptly closed the door in his face (not really but he got a polite and corteous HELL NO)

Only since 2000 I've been trying to get him to go...
