Feck me, this is during our annual family vacation. BUT it is at the tail end, AND I'll be in the PA mountains, 5 hours away, RIGHT off Rt. 80. Thinking... thinking...

My low boost will handle that 119....

MPH is based off of horsepower for the most part but, in drag racing it can also mean a lot of wheel spin. Usually cars that spin a lot tend to gain more MPH. When talking about drag racing the fastest car is the car with the lowest ET.

The whole fast/quick argument IMHO is invalid when it comes to drag racing. You are not going to tell someone "My car is faster because I had more MPH".

As for the fools comment bring your Turbo car you can get some as well

Doesn't the car that gets the end first, win? Even if the other car runs a lower ET...

Nope.

Even in bracket drag racing. Getting to the end first means absolutely nothing.

NHRA offers two types of drag racing: heads-up and handicap. Heads-up racing is the easiest to understand because both cars leave the starting line at the same time, and the first to cross the finish line wins. Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Motorcycle, Top Alcohol Dragster, and Top Alcohol Funny Car race heads-up.
