Its a trade off,for sure.I gotta figure out what to do,also.
I Flew to Ohio last time, but this time I want to drive at Nelson Ledges. The track is just too cool.

Drive to my house and we can caravan from there with my trailer. We will be taking at least teh Panda and Kimme's NX. Then we are all covered to get home if one of us breaks down, plus we have plenty of room for "stuff"

what if 2 of us break down

barely! I guess I meant more 'central' US or in general more west. I think Ohio is more mid-east than mid-west, but our country doesn't seem to designate.

I live in Kansas. I can host Kansas, but I think as many people would show up for Kansas as they did for the one in Nebraska which was - not many. Indy is supposed to have some good race tracks, plus a lot of racing history to explore.

To prove a convention can be popular closer to the center of the country..I present to you, Focus Fest 2013:

http://www.focusfest.com/

Focus Fest? wtf is that? Now, I ran into this by accident being that I was visiting the OG (Olive Garden) that was across from the meet n greet hotel when I was in St Louis recently. I never saw so many focuses in my life! The times I've seen a turbo or modified focus is very few and they were all over the place here. A huge turnout. I kind of compared this to our SR meets, but somehow the turnout here was huge(by our standards). I think it's held in st louis each year, but I could be wrong. Just goes to show a convention a little further west may not be a bad idea.

p.s. If I'm still living in KS next year I may re-attend the OH convention. Otherwise probably not as I'll be moving to a mountain state.
