Quoted For Truth. I commend those who have done what they have done to the beam, I simply just went to IRS and never really looked back. You know what was hilarious and sad at the same time. I drove my B13 down there, drove it around town, at the track, down the strip, back home. Monday, I get into my B14 to drive to work and I Just felt an overwhelming sense of misery and disgust at how the car feels just driving fifty yards at fiften mile per hour in my neighborhood, a slight right hand turn, over two speed bumps just made me sigh that I thought a B14 was a decent handling car. Out of the box, they are very poor handling and without adjusting the physics involved with that rear end, you really are chasing a phantom.

Enough of my anti-beam talk, more pictures. I only have shots in the parking lot, trying to sort them all now.

So, if the fronts are 20-30% of 600lbs, you are looking at 420-480 lb springs. I would personally stick with the 400lbs and tune in rotation using something else (tire pressures, track width, etc)

Pucshoe was using 650lb spring all the way around........And typically, with the low speed stuff, you need fairly fast reacting setup.

I could be wrong and you could be crazy fast at the next event. But if not, that is probably your reason

P.S Looks like you were under-steering in the above pic

He didn't recommend any specific spring rates, but he did mention using 800lbs in rear and 600lbs in front. I'm going little softer to make the car be a bit more drivable on the street. If all else fails I'll get stiffer springs for the front and stove these away for when I get BC's for P11. Autocross is definitely a tricky one to get right, I'm hoping by making the car want to oversteer more and turn better it will help, without so much spring that tires can't keep traction. Our autocross track is a mixed parking lot with a lot of uneven surfaces (we are in the mountains after all), thus having too stiff of spring rates is detrimental to grip too. Anyway, we should chat in another thread because this one is for pictures

When I talked to Joe @ 2J about making my car more loose, he said he could by putting more neg. camber in the front to get it there. He said it would be a bit much for the street, though. So I opted not to do it. Right now it's about -1.60. I think going to -3 would give it more rotation. Based on the track photos of my car, I can see why. It's pretty much not even using half of the tire. The wear lines would concur with what's happening in the photos.
