It should since there are no turns involved. But, seriously, remove the front bar, MCarp.

Getting AMP'd (notice the pun)

Kansas City and you're complaining it's too far, 9 months in advance? Seriously, that's only a 13 hour drive. It's not likely to ever get much closer.

I made the 13 hour, 750 mile one-way(1.5k total) drive in my DET to Cleveland,OH this year and that was a long ass drive in that car. That was a good convention too and worth it and I'm sure 2013 will be as well, but it's just too long a drive for me to do again :/

This is why we usually go to track rentals instead of test/tunes.. Adding weight to these cars can be hindering to the movement of the sr powered cars. Once they get to the 10 sec range I'm sure the cages will be in and designed to be the most effective and minimal weight.

Silver dollar may be an hour and a half from us, but it's 2.5 hours from Commerce. I just got off the phone with Mike from Atlanta Dragway. He is sending me more info, but is very accommodating to us so far including having that Friday available for the test and tune event. I asked a few more questions that I had not asked before. Long pants are required for anyone on track and a roll bar is required for anyone running faster than 11.5 in the quarter. If you were going to run that fast wouldn't you want that anyways? I know that I want to live if God forbid something goes wrong.

I 110% agree with you.

Lame. That is only gonna barely get me warmed-up on the road-trip. Anything less than 20-plus-hours to a Convention seems like just a short little commute.

Are you sure it has to be so damn close to Shreveport, LA?

If you want to drive up to the northeast caravan spot on the jersey turnpike I'm sure that will net you another 500-750 miles to the trek lol

You have over 9 months to get a more comfortable seat and the drive will be a breeze

My intentions are to have fun and be safe at the strip. Then my last pass I will let it all out. If I get the boot then I am OK with that.
