That being said, it was as clear as day to me that the 1/4 mile event was an absolute must for every convention in the future. There is plenty of time Saturday to do the family thing. Katie and I did the zoo thing and it was great. The drag day was a resounding success for all. Ask anyone who went to the 2012 convention if they think the drag day isn't now absolutely mandatory. You won't find anyone who thinks it shouldn't be on the bill. It is the perfect compliment to the road course and the picnic.

For what seemed how comfortable you appeared on the track, I was surprised to see how uncomfortable you were at the drag strip. It is what it is, but not a person can knock you for trying it.

Calm down and save up for 2013, folks. It will be another killer convention as long as WE can show up!

What a blast.

A lot of people went to the drag stip in 2005 (not myself) and I went in 2010, but it was just an 1/8th mile. I went to the road course both of those years ('05 & '10).

My SE-R was not ready for 2012, so I brought my G35 and didn't want to take it on the road course. However I did take it on the drag stip, and found that I suck at teh RWD. With my Sentra, I did like running on the drag strip, but not nearly as much as I like the road course. With my G35, I will probably never run on either again... well, maybe the drag strip.

As long as 12 second or better cars are showing up, it is definately something worth watching, to say the least. The 10 second cars were amazing this year.

Somethings just cant be had and whiners seem to win. But depending on distance and cost of rooming, I'll try to make it.

I prefer to be on a road course.

Ok, I'm sold.

It just saddens my heart that Savannah now is forever off the table because of a 2-hour drive.

Not only was the drag day such a huge success this year but almost every single person told me the shirts were the best design out of all conventions. But hey, what do we know about running probably the best convention that ever happened???

Leave it to us and tone it down with the sarcasm.

If there's an extra day on the convention schedule I will bring the dyno, I might just bring it to sit on for a chair instead of leaning on my trailer or car. If the interest is there for using it and having a great time then it makes sense to have it.

So instead of being 15 minutes from the dyno I'll Set it up right outside the hotel.. Convenient enough?
Only if there is a Wednesday at the convention.

Bring it. And Jamie. You guys will make a small fortune off me alone :-P

Good and I am glad to here thanks for clearing that up

But there were some other post we're you were coming off a bit sarcastic but we'll leave it at that. I honestly don't want to get in a piss war with you. You have some good points I do agree, but it was you delivery that had me like WTF

I'm not a drag guy either by any means, I do prefer road racing myself, but I honestly had more fun at the drags this year. It was the first convention with an offical drag day and I think it was fun if not more then the road course day. We can't keep doing things exactly the same as previous conventions though I do strive on keeping certain things tradition.

If you or anybody who was there saw Jamie run 11.6 all motor on 93 octane, Sam's girlfriend sweeping the honda boys who were all talking crap in her stock se-r, or the girls lauching respects b14 better then he could,Ashton running 10's @150mph, mazworx running low 10's in there gtir, then you would understand.

I didn't even think the drag day would be such a hit, and what made it even better is that everybody was there

Yes I agree drag racing "can be boring" to some, but when you have a bunch of sr20 cars there at the same time doing things we don't see on an everyday basis, then you understand Offical Drag day at every convention. It gives something else to look forward to.

Also most of the CT guys are drag racers and right now they are the majority. I don't expect Mark, Jamie the the Deep crew to come down all the way from CT/NY just to watch us road race down the straights at roebling road. Even though they did take there cars on Nelson ledges this year.

I assure you we are discussing plans to make everyone happy. It can't just be center around the road course day anymore.
