True. We have a kick ass location in savannah for a kick ass price. Why screw it up? I think it's time for a vote

Drag and Road racing will be catered to equally.... It's a must.

Drag racing used to beconsidered part of the 'free day' anyway.

And this is why the convention has gone south in the past. Those words are dangerous. We enjoyed past conventions but since we all saw them going in a downward direction.. Now they are getting better

Everyone can take a deep breath now.

There will be a convention next year.

There will be road course racing.

There will be 1/4 mile drag racing.

There will be drinking and socializing and tall tales will be shared.

There will be at least one car that can't drive itself home (or even on to a trailer under it's own power).

Those who will attend will have adventures and thus stories to tell.

And they will enjoy greatly sharing the stories with those who don't make it.

It really is a pretty simple deal.

Take a vote on it then. We'll see if an equal amount of people want both. It's the only way to settle this amongst all who post here.
That being said, I don't want to end up on a shitty and or expensive road course just to have a 1/4 mile track near by...

Or, why don't we just make it like the Olympics. One year 1/4 mile and one year Road Course. I personally have ZERO interest in 1/4 racing so like many others... I'll just stay home during the 1/4 mile conventions.

Yeah, the past conventions sucked because we didn't take straight-line racing seriously.

The point was that track days were special, and not everyone could participate in such an event in their own region. Drag racing's drag racing. Who can't do that on any given Friday or Saturday night in their own area?

Were you at last years event? More people were at the drag race then at the road course.
This is the type conversation is what gets people to have a bad attitude. And the party lines begin to form and people start to fight, like we are border line doing. The plain and simple fact is THERE WILL BE A 1/4 drag day. I am not looking to get into a pissing match about this and don't really wish to bring drama to this thread, but this is the way it is. To keep everyone happy, thats the way it has to be. Sorry that you don't like drag racing, but it is apart of our community just like road racing.
