I want to thank everyone thus far that has filled out the questionnaire. Your opinions and input are highly valued.

The comments field is being used wisely, and we appreciate your detailed input! Some things we may otherwise overlook have been reminded to us in your comments.

Lets keep the progress moving forward, by asking your peers to fill out the questionnaire as well.

Thanks!

To date, there are 67 responses. I'm sure there are more than 67 folks that attended this years and at least one previous years' conventions...

As of right now, we have the following folks that make up the track committee:

Chriscar
Wnwright
Blair
Chris101

This team of four has been working frivolously to come up with a concrete track-day location that conveniences most everyone.

Once a location has been determined, the rest of the committee will be formed, and roles assigned. Not to worry, an open letter to the community will be sent following committee member selection so that the community as a whole knows who's responsible for what piece of the puzzle.

I'd suggest organizing a sub-meet amongst the west coast guys each year, regardless of where the official convention is.

^ Agreed.

Folks, you can request all you want in this thread, but please keep in mind it doesn't carry any REAL weight in this thread.

What matters is what everyone responds with in the questionnaire. If we have 85% of the respondents state they're willing to travel >1200 miles, then we'll look further west. As of right now, the majority of folks that responded have no interest in anything over 1200 miles.

You are planning on having a drag day as well correct? One of the things that I liked about this years is that it wasnt just focused around the road course. Don't get me wrong, I love road tracks, but I am equally, if not more pumped about the drag strip as well. I hope that the drag strip will be taken in account for the location of the road track as well.

Cliff. We had this talk already about west coast conventions. This past convention only Sergio and I came out from anything considered west coast. Guess what? I don't even own a b- chasis anymore. All these "Cali" posts should be deleted. We all know who's really coming from the west next year again. Driving, Towing, Flying, Train, I'll find a way to get there.

Now for these Cali kids, Like Gomba pointed out, a few of us are gonna see about organizing something out this way. sr20Minivention. Let's see if you can prove to us why the west should be considered again.
