FWIW I am one of the ones heading up the planning committee... I offered to host here and also shot it down in one breath. There aren't enough active locals here anymore and IMO the turn out will suck since it will be so far for the NE crew.

What about the SE crew? Everywhere is far from us.

It's pretty well decided that it'll be East of the Mississippi, and within 800 miles of some of the the major population centers. Help us to help you , and fill out the questionnaire.

FUNNY SHIT!

Here's the issue with these threads. Too many people thinking about where they WANT it to be and NOT about the logistics in PLANNING an actual event that is successful. Also what it COSTS to put on the convention....
