If a car does 9.9 @ 150 and then it breaks 4th and coasts, it's to be considered a DNF in terms of repeatability.
If a car does 10.01 5 times, and then pulls a 9.9999999, it's still a 10 second car. If it pulls another 9.999999 or 9.998888 or even a 9.98, it's a 9 second car.
Just because you break into the 9's doesn't mean you stay there. How long have you been drag racing competitively?
