Not a chance. So far my motor has held together better and longer than 90% of the 2.4's out there.

A consistently 9 second car is a 9 second car. A 10 second car that makes ONE pass at 9.XXX and one pass only, is not a 9 second car. It's a 9 second fluke 1/4mi. run.

So your saying a car that does say a 9.90@150mph 1/4 then next pass breaks 4th gear and coasts to a 10.50@120mph is a 10 second car. I dont thats accurate. Obviously the car had the power to go 9's, just because it would have to wait to do it again till the trans is fixed.

Either way, dont worry, ill get my 9 and back it up. Just watch and be amazed.

Geez you're reading comprehension sucks.

If a car does 9.9 @ 150 and then it breaks 4th and coasts, it's to be considered a DNF in terms of repeatability.

If a car does 10.01 5 times, and then pulls a 9.9999999, it's still a 10 second car. If it pulls another 9.999999 or 9.998888 or even a 9.98, it's a 9 second car.

Just because you break into the 9's doesn't mean you stay there. How long have you been drag racing competitively?

I understand the whole backing it up thing. I havent drag raced competively for a long time.

A car needs to back up the pass to be considered a xx.xx car...if it brakes nothing counts, sorry...if you 10.xx's all day then hit everything right last pass of the night, and go 9.xx, your car or whomever car does will be considered a 10sec car...reguardless of the 9sec pass, you have the timeslip to prove you did go, and the possibility of making it a 9sec car but still a 10sec car

That goes for myself, aaron, jamie, dave, jose or anyone else chasing that 9sec pass

I get what the guys are saying. A 10 second car that goes 9's once is a just a consistent 10 second car that has dipped into the 9's once.

Yeah, exactly. Still a 9 second capable car.

Dont worry, a couple of you will get time slips when running me with a 9 reading on the winner end. Just hang on to it, Piece of history there. hahah

100$ says the quickest turbo car at the convention will be 2 tenths quicker than the all motor cars.
