Thread: 2010 Nissan Nat'l Convention pics and vids thread

I'll put it this way, on the event facebook page, there were over 125 people "committed" to attending, on the registration page (when it was still public), there were over 75, and when we pulled into the parking lot at the Embassy, I was hard pressed to spot a Nissan logo.

This was my first convention, and even though it will be regarded as a 'flop' by many, it will definitely not be my last. Although attendance was definitely slimmer than usual, the people who did attend were cool as shiat! So even though there weren't many crazy SR20 cars to oggle over, I had a blast just kickin' it with some cool people who I wouldn't have met otherwise. I don't think a single person from Madison had an SR20 car ready to make the drive, but we all piled together and made the trip just to enjoy the show. It's not the cars that make the show, but the community.

I hope that wasn't aimed at me. I know at the beginning of the year I was dead set on going, but I had planned on being done with my internship before June. That was not the case. But I didn't bail at the last second. As soon as I started the internship, which didn't start until March (6 month internship), I knew there was no way I would be able to take 4 days off and then ride up there with Joe and Kimme (which they offered and I greatly appreciate that gesture.) Especially being the new guy at work.

Even if this wasn't aimed at me, I just wanted them to know that anyways.

Somehow all the videos I took at the road course my camera found it fun to focus on the fence that was besides me which was not even in the focus range(except on the below video)..so all the videos are out of focus..gg Ebay camera ;/

This is the only one that's not way out of focus..the others are worse..check out the awesome clear fence though I tried focusing on the NICO sign first, but that wasn't helping either..idk what's wrong with this camera.

It's even meaner to ride in,

I am so pissed I couldn't make it, i paid my registration and everything... Too many parts were too late (Intake mani didn't arrive til 5/31 when i was promised it in April) to get my car finished and safely tuned to drive it 1200 miles and back though.

I had a blast the roadtrip was pretty dope too... I'll post pics later in the week.

To all others who came and those who did not (due to good personal reasons or last minute change of plan), convention was a blast. Sure it wasn't packed as others have enjoyed in the past. However, it allowed many of us to go back into the track over and over and over again. So it worked out for the better in other manner.

For those who didn't go, I am sure some great pictures and videos are about to come as folks reach home and get on their computers.

Also, thanks to those who gave us ride-alongs and even shared helmets for us poor folks, including me . I really appreciate it. Thank you.
