^^^ Agree as well. Some of you guys are like kids in the 3rd grade. I towed another mans car for 13 hours to support the community. It makes me laugh when some of you are just being haters. This convention was better than the Chicago one. AND Omaha has by far the hottest girls ever. Yes Omaha I mean 7 out of 10 are neck snapping women.

What a bunch of Whiners
What a couple of d*head posts - "lazy asses", "waste *MY TIME*"??? I'd expect better from either of you, I really hope those are 'tongue in cheek', because they sure sound like a couple of whiny bit-ches...bit-ching.

Sounds more like the lazy asses are the ones not sharing. This is the most worthless thread, with three pages of 'posts' saying just about nothing, save one decent person putting up some really nice photos (thanks!).

Why? Same reason I "wasted" my time last year putting up all my video and pics same weekend, for those within the community (people like you Kieran) who couldn't make it. Plenty of us definitely would loved to have made the trip w/o other the conflict of other commitments, or those in the community for which it just wasn't possible financially, whatever.

Go look at last year's threads and see how much I posted same days. People seemed to enjoy it both at the convention and those who could not attend. As it was, that was almost a 1000 mile drive each way for me (darn ShawnB was a little longer, lol!), I still found time, even when Sunday I had to leave late afternoon and be home by 7 AM in CT from GA to take my kids to school (980 miles straight through, with 30 minutes to spare, phew!).

Have a safe trip home, glad to hear you're having a good time...I think, kinda hard to tell.

and there you have it.

I have never been to a convention but, I have always wanted to go. For me things always come up. Regardless if I have ever attended one or not I always enjoyed the pictures and the stories with the hopes of attending one someday.

To be honest I am very shocked and Happy and Kerian's replies.

The uncommitted? Is that what we are called? I did not know you had to attend a Convention do be considered committed in the SR20 world. New news to me.

QFT! I agree with this.

Sorry, but to those who posted about not wanting to post pictures because we are uncommitted, your arrogance is appalling to those of us who choose to prioritize the things that actually matter in life. Work, family, etc. A car convention, in the grand scheme of things, does not.

With that being said, would I like to attend a convention? SURE! I think it would be a blast to meet and greet with a bunch of like minded people and I hope to be able to attend the next one as it sounds like it will be a LOT closer in proximity to me than where it is currently being held this year.

Same here!

I wanted to go, I even planned my vacation around this date because I wanted to go. But later, looking at the pros and cons, it was going to be too expensive for me to go. I did not wanted to go by myself on that long trip either. Also, the though of you car breaking down during the trip, how I was going to make it to go back home? Today Sunday, now I wished I was there, but is too late now.

Now, I have another week of vacation and I'm bored to death.

I spoke with Happy about his comments, and while he refuses to retract his statements (which were aimed at only a few individuals), he does say that the intent wasn't to blast anyone and everyone that didn't attend the convention, but only aimed at those individuals that had previously stated that they were 99.9% going, only to flake out last minute and not even give the courtesy of bowing out.
