Rats! Now I'll have to get on Facebook. I must be one of the last people on earth who isn't.

40 years ago (where did time go?) there wasn't much for hotels in Elkhart Lake. Those that were there were pretty expensive. A local college rented out their dorm rooms real cheap. Lakeland College, I think. Of course, we were serious racers at the time so partying was out of the question. And, our chief mechanic was a mean drunk. A couple of beers and he was ready to fight the world. We had to keep all alcohol away from him.

I'm looking into a hotel in northern Milwaukee, about 60 miles from the track.

I'll probably sign up for the track day. Atlanta to Wisconsin is a long drive so I don't know about Sat, and Sunday as I'll probably use that time to get back home. Originally I wasn't into the idea of American drifting because well it was a mass migration of Ricers into the drifting scene. However I've come to realize that drifting is a cool test of car control. When it is done well I think it might be entertaining.

I really don't mind that its not solely focused on the SE-R crowd anymore. I think of it like ok we get to check out other cool nissans, and well a lot of us like other Nissan models. Also for the single guys It means possibly more chicas on track to socialize with . I mean realistically how many chics are into SE-R's, lol.

Also I'm thinking we as a group could keep SE-R track days alive on a smaller scale. Lets just get more guys out there to build track cars!!! By this I mean full racers , and time trial machines. There are various groups out there across the country that put on track days. We can all get on here or the old forum, and set up group participation at these track days.

I'd say in the next year or two I'd like to head out to the Type R expo with some Se-R guys. Just to see what we can do against Hondas R.

Atlanta is only a 14 hour drive. You can do that in one day. Plus, the following Monday is a holiday. You should stick around through Sunday and drive home Monday...that's my plan.

Yeah your right I can drive 14 hours straight. I tell you though after that 14 hour drive I'm beat. I've done ATL to NYC several times, and towards the end of the trip it is just rough. Memorial day being on that monday though is a good thing.

Well I'm definitely trying to make this one. I wasn't able to attend the Savannah event because of school.

Dammit, ANY track is hard on brakes for rentals. Now we'll have to get a guaranteed rental so we can bring some extra pads
