i have 16x8 +10 offset rota grid offroads with 225/45/16 dunlop z2's and they fit well with my b14. if your doing autox or any sport driving its a really great set up. i did roll the fenders slightly, but if your going for the "tucking" look, i would go with a 25-35 offset depending on if you go 215s or 225s, also depends on tire manufacturer. like my dunlops fit better than my toyo r1r's but same size.

reading thru threads of wheel set ups, most common seems to be 16x8 or 15x8. offset from +10 to 38.

Guessing 9 inch wide isn't common?

16x8 +10 with 225 tires will barely rub the inside fender wall when turning full lock. so you just have to play with numbers from there. like 15x8 +10 probably will just touch or not rub at because its 1/2 closer to the hub. 15x9 +0 or -10 probably wont rub either, but then fenders become an issue. but id say any wider than 8in with +10 or any more outward offset and you will have to really roll fenders or cut and go with over fenders. or stretch the hell out of tires and drive easy

Just to keep this interesting,I do have a set of 15x9 949's that I use for autocross that fit just fine. The rears have 225/45-15,and the fronts have 275/35-15 on them. The fronts need a 10mm spacer to keep from rubbing the frame rail at full lock.Other than that, they just bolted on and away I went Now the fronts stick out like skateboard wheels, but when I'm on course demoralizing everyone,it doesn't bother me at all.

Yep,extended studs are necessary.I bought 20mm spacers from H&R,and they came with the extended studs.I can run the 20mm or 10mm and the studs are long enough to be safe.I've said it before,I have no idea how to post photos,I'm not sure I have any.You can see pics here

I know this is an old thread but we are running 15x8 K4R w/225 45 15 Hoosier's FWIW (do have to run small spacers in front to help the offset though)

..and with 15x8s we just put only on the front btw:
