Gas light
Anyone ever go far enough to empty to find out if a 200sx has a low gas light?

Yes it does. It trips when you have 2 gallons left, or thereabouts. I hit it on the occasion, because I'm too lazy to fill up when I see I'm getting really low.

I found out mines works on the b13 in front of the station, waiting to get to the pump.

Mine USED to work, I haven't had it work recently and it left me stranded once 'cause I THOUGHT it was working. I found out the hard way that it wasn't. That's what I get.

I found out that my se-l didn't have the bulb socket at all in the cluster. Went to a junk yard and got one. That was about 1 month ago, because no matter how low I got it the light never came on. I have yet to see if it comes on. I'm kinda sketchy about running my tank that low anyways. Honestly.. who needs a light when you have 2 letters and a needle?

Well my light turns on WAY after you pass E. I used to get paranoid thinking it doesn't work and ima be left stranded.

Mine works, but weirdly, yesterday I fueled up 11.5 gallons, and the light didn't kick in yet, when it the past it would kick in at like 11 gallons

well gas stations arent always accurate. they charge once the gas hits the meter, not when it hits your tank. SO there is still gas in the tube itself that never makes it to your tank. Just food for thought

That is true, I'm trying to nail down some inconsitancies between the MPG I'm getting with my ScanGauge and the MPG that I get when I fuel up.

Yesterday it was 32 MPG on ScanGauge, but 27 at the pump!

Do you tell the scangauge how big the gas tank is? Does the speed read correctly on the scangauge? Honestly i would trust the pump over the scangauge, the pumps have to be calibrated to output the correct amount of fuel as it says it does. Does the scan gauge just take into effect when you are moving? like it takes the % duty cycle of the injectors and calculates how much fuel it is using but only when moving? Or some other weird calculation, i obviously dont know how it calculates so i am probing for info.
