tranny problem help
i was driving the other day. nice and easy and all of a sudden it sounded like my clutch pedal popped! like a spring jumped out or some metal broke. Now the clutch pedal goes half way to the floor before it engaged and shifting into 1st is hard. also when the motor is running is near impossible to shift it into reverse. my first thought was the cable. but i replaces the cable on my red car and it is doing the same thing. now i shift into 2nd before i shift back up to first to get it in gear. Any thoughts, help guys? i am thinking still a problem with the cable or throw out bearing.

Thanks

I would just pop the tranny off and look inside. Do you have a sprung clutch disc? Maybe one or two of the springs popped out with out completely demolishing the clutch. You wont know until you look inside though.

Also check to see if your clutch cable arm(bracket) is bent in any way. Might now be engaging all the way or having trouble because its out of whack--- just throwing ideas out.
