Automatic to 5speed swap
Ok guys, i just picked up a auto sel, and plan on swapping the ve and everything from the 200sx to the sel. And i know this has been done before, and just curious what all i would need to do with switching wiring harness's and stuff, and also on taking out the pedals, is it bolted down, welded, do i need to cut them out? Any help and info would be appreciated guys, and thanks. Going to be a big project.

With regards to the pedal, you have to drill a hole for the clutch cable, does the AT has 1.6 engine?

No its a sel, so 2.0, couldnt be picky with the sel since its only the 3rd ive ever seen up here. I know im going to have to drill a hole there, im just really wondering on how to remove the pedal assemlbly from the 200sx, and then put it into the sel, if its bolted in, welded? Pretty much figure im going to fully dissasemble the sel's interior, dash and engine bay, then we will pull the se-r apart and slowly transplant one section at a time from the se-r over.

The pedals are bolted in,you gotta cut the firewall for the cluttch cable as mentioned.

I do know that the pinout of the harness changed in 98 so you probably need to leave the harnesses in the car it came with,or swap both the engine and dash harness together.for it to work.

I am not 100% sure what you can or cant do,as far as the harness goes, but I would check into it if I were you.
