Lower Intake Manifold
The car was running fine and then wouldn't start aferwards. Long story, I found that the coolant temperature sensor wire was smashed because it was sitting behind the bracket the screws on the lower intake manifold. This all happened after a lot of troubleshooting and replacing parts. The car would start and shut right off. When I keep my foot on the gas, it stays on but sputters badly. I kept hearing a loud hissing noise everytime I pump the gas pedal, as if I have turbo and the blow off valve is kicking in, only I do not have a boosted car. That is exactly what it sounds like. So, I replaced the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets, thinking there was an intake leak. While the lower intake manifold was being removed, a lot of coolant fluid started to pour out. Is this supposed to happen?

There is coolant running through channels cast into the intake manifold. It is entirely possible a hose broke loose and you saw coolant draining from one of those channels. Coolant should not be coming out of the intake runners or plenum though.
