Had the same problem several years back as what you are describing, it was the starter that made the noise and eventually died out on me.

She's been parked for over a week now... working on a step down w/ afc tie ins! Still waiting on the importer to get me another VE.

Started her up to let her charge so the battery wont go dead. Debating, i wont have the money for a lil while to get a new tranny or get her rebuilt since 3rd is out, so trying to decide to get lynch's help to put the clutch in and drive her as is for a while, or wait and do it all at once. I dont mind driving my 510 every day, but the 200sx is safer with my son.

Finished the soldering on the obd1 side... lengthened wires... clipped the obd2 side pins, and pulled out the ones I don't need. now all that's left to do is connect the two sides. yeah!

put on my freshly painted fenders on friday night, has been raining ever since then, will post pics soon though. nothing special, re-painted white, but the old ones were peeling bad, front bumper (new) and hood will be next.

i guess it's big news to me when i know the difference, went from looking like a white and bare metal/surface rust cow pattern and going to stock all white... feeling like a new car
