I figured it out, Meeners. The connector is identical, but the pinout is different. No worries there. Using a pin extractor, you can just re-pin the connector and you're good to go.

I had saved the pages as JPG images, between the 98 and 97 SE-R, but haven't uploaded them. I was going to print them out along with the vacuum diagrams that differ between the two, and color code everything, and re-scan it to JPG to upload, as well.

Still trying to figure out my vacuum plans for when I return

Correct.

Also, I'm sure you know this... but, JWT has a pdf image of how to redo the pinouts on the ECU, and switch the vacuum lines to convert to the 97 ecu. It's available online. You also have to switch your rear 02 if you don't want a CEL.

Yeah, I did that already. Haven't done the o2 mod yet, though.

I was actually interested in converting the whole evap system back to a 95~97 evap system, but it looks like it's going to be more work than it was worth. I keep forgetting that the evap canister is in the rear driver undercarriage, so it'd be a beyotch having to re-run lines from the front to the rear of the car, so I could just remove all the other crap.

To hell with it, I'll just keep on runnin' it like it is.

We all think were alone, when we are all the same...

anyone else ever notice that all the 95-97 switches you see always have the stuff rubbed off? like the sign for what the switch does? They seem to be always worn real bad on all the switches i have seen... but the 98 ones are always intact. Wierd.

Maybe I should have called this thread 98/99 Differences
