taillight problem
ok, just wanted to throw some other info first before i get to main problem. well 3 days ago my car started to blow my belt, next morning i went to get in my car when it was in garage, my brake lights were on. thought that was kind of odd but what ever, no lights were left on so got in, started up and went to work (10mi drive) not even half way there my alt-ac-idler belt blew on me still made it work fine though just turned off ac and all electrical that i could. well just got my blet replaced last night and brakes still stay on constantly but do not signal when brake is applied, i thought it was just the alt issue since brake fuse is also labeled as batt. i believe.

my question is, it should just be the brake sw on the pedal assy right? as i have said before im a mechanic in USAF but i dont have too much experience with imports. use to chevy's, fords and some dodge's along heavy equip and such. i just want clarification first since like i said im not too familiar with b14 chasis. i dont just want to go out and buy a switch and thats not it, maybe a relay or something else that i may not know about.

It's a tab on the actual brake pedal that breaks off when it gets old. I replaced my with a screw. It's good as new and I didn't have to pay for the new part which from Nissan, God knows how much they will charge.
