Thread: cat cover

when pulling into my driveway the snowbank at the end ripped the cover off my cars catalytic coverer. Is it ok to leave it off and not have one? or will that mess the cat up?

Is that the heat shield with the holes in it?

I removed mine. It doesnt affect the functionality of the cat, just protects it. Just be careful with those snow banks or next time it could be your cat and not just the cover.

mine fell off on a nice sunny day, rusted out thats why.

Its just a heat shield, so just dont park over any dry leaves.

Lol yeah or you'll end up like that episode of the Sopranos where the son's Xterra blew up.
