Thread: Heated Seat(s)

Winter gets damn cold, and I guess the BMWs always spoiled me with heated seats. Anyone ever done this on a 200? My thought so far was to buy one of those seat heaters that just lay on the seat from Wal-Mart or something and install that in the seat under the fabric, and wire it to a dash switch. But, with the idea of "do it right the first time" I figure I'd ask if anyone else has done it first before I go butchering seats

I think I saw Ish from Pimp my Ride do something like that before, so it'll probably work.

They sell kits online where you take your stock seat cover off and lay them in there and then wire them up, I know I've seen them on ebay but I don't know about their quality try searching around amazon or google

Or you can try to find a heated P11 seat that will fit with slight modification, has to be a touring model and it will be leather, seems like i am seeing more and more part outs on G20.net check it out!!

i thought about doing something like that (finding a heated seat from another car) but I'd really like to keep the interior looking the same. Having a leather driver seat and the rest factory se-r reminds me too much of Honda's
