grill-blocking in cold
Has anyone ever tried grill-blocking in a 200sx?

with upgraded koyo radiators i know some back east people said it never reaches full operating temp in the winter if they dont....

I know my dad's old GMC he puts duct tape across a few of the gaps going up and down of his grill to block in the cold during the winter to keep the engine at operating temp.

ohhh ok i get it now

why would u do that if it was boosted tho?
isnt the cold air better for the turbo

I have a Koyo in my B13 SE-R and I have the same problem. I can hardly get up to temps in the winter even ON TRACK!

Nice having bulletproof cooling in the summer tho...

Yeah cold air = dense charge.

Blocking the radiator though, has nothing to do with the intercooler for the Turbo. Aside from that, if you get on it often, you wouldn't want to block it, because you could possibly overheat your car.

I don't need it where I live, so I haven't bothered.

im running a nismo thermostat with koyo dual core full size radiator and flexalite fans and i get up to norm temps with no problem
