Not sure when it was painted last.

I found out just recently before deploying, that it was an accident car, due to fish eye in the paint, on the rear passenger quarter panels. That's the only place I found the fish eye, though. (wasn't reported in Carfax.)

Just need to pull some dings and dents, and re-finish it.

Thanks for the comments.

is fisheye a paint term or was it an ACTUAL FISH EYE ???

LOL!

Nah, "fisheye" is a term used, when bubbles appear during the spray process, that pop during the drying/curing of the paint. Basically, a cheap paint job that someone is doing for the money, and not for the pride of work, will have "orange peel", and "fisheye". Orange peel looks just like it sounds. When you look at vehicles from the factory, with original paint jobs, you'll see an orange peel effect, where it's not as smooth as glass to the eye, but has the texture of an orange peel.

The most common place you'll see orange peel, is along the upper half of the car, where the a pillars and c pillars are.

Oh, and fisheye won't be very noticeable to the eye, if you're not looking for it. A friend of mine that works at the dealership as the senior mechanic, instantly noticed it while looking at my rear beam, to figure out why it was shifted. He instantly looked for body work, or damage, and noticed the fish eyes in the general area. Factory paint jobs rarely, if ever, have fish eye.

This was the easiest indication of body work being done to the car in the past.

Tekkie, I was going to ask you about that at the meet. I wanted to paint my car that same gray but I noticed the paint was not running smoothly along the car. Was going to ask you about the car being in an accident or something. Now you answered it lol.

Thanks SportMax 002's in gunmetal. Would you believe I originally wanted them in RED?! IDK wtf I was thinking when I even CONSIDERED I wanted them in red. It's such a hard wheel color to pull off. IMO, only can be done on black, or white cars.

very true on the white and black with red rims, but i think those match your car perfectly
