A GTiR motor requires different mounts from the bluebird. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but there's a lot more to a GTiR swap than other FWD SR20s. Also, I would only recommend a bluebird engine if you're planning to build the internals. Those engines are pretty old and it would be hard to find a low milage one. Bluebird engines have oil squirters, that's why I recommend that you rebuild one if you go that route. You need to do WAAAY more researching and make some goals so you can try to reach them.

So I read the howto page and the guy used basically all JGY Customs parts. So thats good. I need to buy the whole set of engine mounts. But I still don't know if I can just use the wiring harness and ECU that would come with the engine?

Here's another link of it:

JDM Engine Depot

And I'm learning that I need to buy an SR tranny?

Yeah...if you have an SR20, you need an SR20 transmission.

if you dont use a sr20 harness your making it harder on your self. if you buy your parts from jgy your making it harder on yourself. Theres a forums member named Andreas Miko were you can get all the parts in good condition and a fair price, but if you really love jgy then good luck.

This is my swap. Read through it and try to understand what all went in to it. Its not hard, but you have the get all of the parts. I even went from auto to manual so there were a couple of extra steps and parts needed.

The nice thing about what i had, is that i had a complete SER to take parts from. I did not have to worry about missing parts but it was still a challenge of making sure all of the right parts got swapped over. The information is kind of scattered but it is all out there.

Yeah, I was talking to my bro and he said the GTIR may not fit up with the tranny. So He suggested we just get an altima engine and turbo it.
